I’m someone who believes that everyone’s born with a particular talent; creating fresh, informative copy happens to be mine.

A Connecticut native, I bring to the table nearly 15 years of experience as a copywriter, journalist, consultant and Web designer. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with companies of all sizes nationwide, including Weekly Reader Corporation, Pitney Bowes, Time Warner, WWE, Essence Communications, UBS Warburg, Southern Connecticut State University and University of Hartford. I’ve contributed articles to various print and online publications, including Patch.com, Stamford Advocate, Fairfield County Weekly, New Haven Register, MediaBistro.com, HealthQuest, Essence, Vibe, Honey and XXL. I’m also the author of the e-book Success Tales: Female Entrepreneurs’ Stories of Challenges, Inspiration and Success, and I’ve written many small business articles for the Web.

As the owner/founder of successful virtual assistance practice Right Hand Concepts, I’m also skilled at providing creative and administrative assistance to business owners via email, phone and fax. I soon realized that the value my clients found in my copywriting services began to stand apart from my general offerings, and I also became known for the marketing content I generated for their blogs, newsletters, press releases, bios, websites, brochures, flyers and presentations.

How do I describe my writing style? Well, I’m not just a copywriter—I’m also a consumer, and as such I appreciate it when I’m spoken to in a straightforward, friendly, conversational voice. Just give me the information sans the meaningless jargon!  I try to keep that in mind and follow the same formula when I write for my clients.

And now for the personal stuff…
In my spare time, I enjoy open-mic spoken word, singing with my soul/funk band Soul Real, “serious” karaoke competitions and trading witty barbs with the unseen in online discussion forums. While I’m in the gym working off the pecan pie I adore a bit too much, my iPod’s playing everything from Steely Dan to Prince to A Tribe Called Quest. I reside in Fairfield County, Connecticut with my husband and young daughter.
